Creativity 101: It's so easy even a caveman can do it!, Larry G. Richards

Why do some people seem to be highly creative, and others much less so? Is creativity innate, or can it be learned? Can we develop our creative thinking skills? Is there a curriculum that can foster creativity and innovation among our students? In this workshop, we will review what is known about creativity in general; what behaviors and attitudes are associated with highly creative individuals; and some everyday practices that can enhance anyone's creativity. A set of thirteen rules for everyday creativity will be presented and illustrated. Participants will be expected to interact with each other, and the entire group, as we discover together our creative abilities, and explore those beliefs and circumstances that limit us and stifle innovation - and how to overcome them.
